Water Main Breaks Statistics Analysis
Description
Run hypothesis test, regression/multiple regression test and one way/two anova test. Overall I want to identify which variables have an impact on water main breaks. Identify which factors matter most, which factors can be ignored, and how these factors influence each other. Temperature, diameter of the pipe, material of the pipe, and the age of the pipe. Determine which variable is the best predictor of a water main break. Tab 4 is likely where most of the work will come from. All in excel using the data analysis tab. I need the thought process behind why what tests is ran, explain what the results mean in basic terms in a word document. What test was ran, why it was ran, what the results mean. Also screenshots of how you ran the test using the data analysis pack to run the test so I can duplicate the test. Also develop an estimated regression equation that can be used to predict water main breaks given the temperature, diameter, material, and age the number of top five finishes.
