San Diego State University Decolonial Aesthetics, Questionnaire
Question Description
I’m working on a art case study and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Based on the lecture on Decolonial Aesthetics, artists take two approaches/attitudes when
creating art: 1) a combative stance that rejects the history of colonization or 2) art that takes a
healing approach to the traumas of colonization.
Select two artists from lecture, one whose art takes combative stance and another whose art takes
a healing approach and provide two examples for each artist and explain how their work
addresses the approach/attitude.
The second video is the lecture, the new fire is one of the video from the lecture (dont think is that important)
“Select two artists from lecture, one whose art takes combative stance and another whose art takes
a healing approach and provide two examples for each artist and explain how their work
addresses the approach/attitude.”
