Friends University Business Leadership Thesis Discussion
Description
Hello,
I would like some help with my BLT for my Capstone Portfolio Business class. The thesis is about “How a Soccer Club Work Inside and Outside of the Field” (Management/Leadership, Finance, Marketing and Diversity). In the thesis I must talk about 4 leadership characteristics in the industry of soccer aligned with the four core categories mentioned previously. The characteristics are: Communication Skills, Strategic Thinking, Innovation, Management.
Below are the requirements. Also, I have attached previous paper that are my ARTIFACTS from previous classes as references if possible
Your BLT will be evaluated on its depth, breadth, persuasiveness, consistency of thought and tone, connections to your ARTIFACTS and research, and its application of the learning goals for your program. Although this isnt an autobiography, it is a forum for sharing your understandings and beliefs about various business and leadership practices. The key is to state your beliefs clearly, then support those beliefs with your artifacts and scholarly research results. Use your chosen topic to focus your argument around which your artifacts and research can serve in a supporting role. How will the things you learned in this program contribute to your success as a practitioner in the workplace? What do experts and researchers on the topic have to say in support of your beliefs?
Whatever your opinion, it is necessary to build an argument to convince your reader. If you say, for instance, that most successful leaders rule through a top-down bureaucracy, you should be ready to back that claim by examining evidence in your artifacts and sharing qualified research statements found in scholarly articles of high quality. By the same token, do not expect to be rewarded for writing a safe essay full of clichés and platitudes. A shallow, unreflective paper simply will not do. In short, you should expect to be challenged.
Listed below are the general requirements for this project:
Papers must
be ten pages long at minimum and 20 pages at maximum.
follow APA format.
contain a references page for all sources used.
make meaningful use of at least seven artifacts from your graduate program.
make meaningful reference to at least 10 scholarly articles.
draw upon your own life experiences as support for your beliefs.
demonstrate a command of the written English language.
