Write a brief summary (1 paragraph) of your company’s trends in performance over the 3 years in 1) total revenue, 2) gross margins (= gross profit / total revenue), 3) operating margins (= operating profit / total revenue), and 4) net margins (=net income / total revenue). How would you say your company is doing financially solely by looking at the income statement?

2. Now, click on “Cash Flow” in the menu bar. This will bring you to the condensed statement of cash flows for the past 3 years for your company. NOTE: Yahoo Finance only reports a condensed statement of cash flows: unfortunately, it shows a very incomplete cash flow from financing section. As a result, please go find your company’s recent annual reported financial statements or annual report (you can google this or go to your company’s investor relations site and find it in reports or filings). Write a brief summary (1 paragraph) of your company’s trends in performance over the 3 years in 1) cash flow from operating activities, 2) capital expenditures, 3) cash flows from financing activities, and 4) net change in cash and cash equivalents. How would you say your company is doing financially by looking at the statement of cash flows? Hint: Look closely at the statement of cash flows and determine the key factors driving the change in cash over the past 3 years.

3. Putting your answers from #1 and #2 together, provide a brief summary of your company’s overall financial performance. Are there any issues that get your attention?
